What rates do I apply to my services?

A per-word rate

For every translation request I receive, I reply with a free quote calculated on the basis of the number of words in the source text and finalised using the following criteria:

• Level of technical difficulty of the text
• Specialism
• Deadline
• Format of the document to be translated (Word, Excel, etc)

A per-hour rate

Some projects, especially those that involve revision and review, are invoiced by the hour rather than by the word. This is because the work undertaken depends less on the volume of the source text than on the quality of the target text.

Currency

I normally provide quotes and invoices in euros. If you work with another currency, I’ll change the amount payable in line with current exchange rates.
